Moy Report 14th April @ 9.30 am

Height at Ballylahan bridge 0.56m

Water temperature 8°c

We didn’t get the 25 mm of rain forecast, but probably enough for a decent rise.  I recorded 10 mm here at Oldcastle.  It seems most of the catchment got some rain so the river should continue to rise for most of the day.  It is doubtful that it will reach the 1m mark.

I would expect to hear of a few catches on EMAA  water this morning before the river gets to coloured and further down river should fish all day.  I will update around 6 pm.

Update 6 pm

The river has continued to creep up all day and is still clean.  It is  at 0.65m.  We have had localised downpours this afternoon which may keep the river rising overnight.

I heard of two fish caught so far today.  A 14lber below Howleys and a 10lber below the bottom carpark.
