Moy Report 19th May @ 8.30am

Height at Ballylahan bridge 1.13m

The river has dropped a lot overnight and is in order for the worm and spinner.  Later in the afternoon and evening it should be coming into fly order in the upper stretches.  Prospects are good for today, lets hope fish are running!  I will be out later and I will start with the Flying C.  It looks like plenty of water for the week, with the river rising and falling on a regular basis.

The river rose rapidly yesterday and coloured up, peaking at 1.63m.  There were a number of anglers about in the morning but most left as the day wore on and the river went out of order.  I heard of a couple of fish caught around Ballylahan, weighing 12lb & 11lb.  Both on the worm.

River Moy East Mayo Anglers.

The Moy at Oldcastle carpark, yesterday evening.
